Mr. Gunewardene has over 45 years experience in the Air Cargo Industry in Sri Lanka. He commenced his career at Air Ceylon (presently Sri Lankan Airlines) and subsequently worked with Swiss Air and GSA of Cargolux prior to re-joining the national carrier Sri Lankan Air Lines. Mr. Gunawardene was the head of the Cargo Division of Sri Lankan Airlines and was responsible for Marketing, Sales and Handling of the airline. He has vast experience in the air cargo industry and played a key role in developing the air cargo industry in Sri Lanka
